Customers from Kumasi, Ghana, traveled across the ocean to Yangzhou, China, and entered the modern production base of Jieyao Lighting located in the industrial park of Guoji Town, Gaoyou City. This industrial dialogue spanning the Asian-African continent not only witnessed the deep cooperation between China and Africa in the field of green energy, but also, through the bond of solar street lamps, connected the warm stories of people-to-people connectivity under the Belt and Road Initiative.
Upon entering Jieyao Lighting's 10,000 square meter intelligent factory, African businessmen were shocked by the production scene before their eyes: a 14-meter-long steel pole is formed in one go on a large bending machine, an automatic seam welding machine precisely welds the seams of the lamp pole, and a fully enclosed environmental protection process consisting of a spray painting production line and a large oven brings technological brilliance to traditional street lamp manufacturing.
In the product display area, the "three-proof" solar street lights customized by Jieyao Lighting for the African market aroused strong interest among customers and businessmen. In response to the climatic characteristics of sub-Saharan Africa, which are characterized by frequent dust storms and strong ultraviolet rays, the lamps are designed with an IP68 protection level, and the nano-coated lampshade has a three-fold improvement in anti-aging performance. The specially made lithium battery pack can operate stably in a high-temperature environment of 55°C, with a battery life of up to 120 hours on rainy days. What amazes customers and businessmen even more is the intelligent control system - the light intensity can be remotely adjusted through a mobile phone APP, and the light sensor can automatically turn on and off according to the environmental brightness. This "fool-proof" operation mode perfectly matches the technical level of grassroots operation and maintenance personnel in Africa.
Facing the procurement demand for the first batch of 2,000 solar street lights in Kumasi, Jieyao Lighting demonstrated its strong supply chain management capabilities. It can quickly assemble different configurations according to customer requirements. In terms of quality control, each street light undergoes 18 testing procedures, including salt spray testing, high and low temperature cycling, and vibration simulation, to ensure a product lifespan of over 8 years.
