The effective projected area (EPA) of the floodlights, ring and accessories directly affects mast bending moment and foundation load. Two 40m masts with the same number of lights can require different structures if the fixture dimensions or wind speeds are different. For that reason, fixture datasheets and site wind criteria must be provided before final structural approval.
Jieyao can evaluate the mast body, door opening, base plate, anchor bolts and foundation reactions using the approved design inputs. If the project is in a typhoon, cyclone or coastal wind region, the exposure category, gust definition, topographic factor and local code should also be confirmed by the project engineer.

The light ring can be lowered to ground level using an electric winch and stainless-steel wire-rope system. A typical assembly includes the winch, motor, gearbox, wire ropes, pulleys, head frame, guide rollers, power cable, junction box, limit devices and mechanical latching components. The design load is calculated from the complete moving assembly rather than the luminaire weight alone.
Where a fixed platform is preferred, access and fall-protection arrangements must be agreed at the design stage. Jieyao can coordinate climbing provisions, service platforms and aviation-warning accessories when they are included in the project specification.
A 40m mounting height can cover a large area, but the fixture beam distribution must be matched to the site geometry. Narrow, medium and asymmetric optics may be combined to improve uniformity and reduce wasted light. A DIALux model can assess average lux, minimum lux, uniformity, glare and spill light before the fixture schedule is finalized.
